CIRCULOSE joins Canopy’s mission to protect forests

Circulose has committed to supporting Canopy’s CanopyStyle and Pack4Good initiatives to reduce the use of Ancient and Endangered Forests in textile supply chains. This partnership highlights Circulose’s dedication to protecting climate-critical forests and global biodiversity by promoting circular solutions in fashion and packaging.

Through this commitment, Circulose offers brands a sustainable alternative—CIRCULOSE®, a 100% recycled material made from discarded textiles. By replacing virgin materials, CIRCULOSE® helps reduce the environmental impact of fashion while addressing the growing demand for man-made cellulosic fibers (MMCFs), which currently contribute to the logging of over 3.4 billion trees annually for fabric and packaging production.

Canopy’s Executive Director, Nicole Rycroft, praised Circulose’s efforts, emphasizing that their shift toward circular alternatives is crucial for preserving forests, protecting biodiversity, and combating climate change.

Dr. Anna Sammarco, Circulose’s Senior Director of Circular Business Development, reinforced the importance of collaboration and bold action in protecting natural ecosystems. She highlighted CIRCULOSE® as a globally available, proven material that transforms textile waste into sustainable fashion without compromising quality.

This partnership strengthens the industry’s move toward a more sustainable, forest-free textile supply chain, ensuring that yesterday’s waste becomes tomorrow’s fashion.
