Polish retailer LPP plans major expansion of Bangladesh sourcing

Polish fashion giant LPP has announced strong interest in scaling up its garment sourcing from Bangladesh beyond its current $770 million annually. During a meeting with BGMEA President Mahmud Hassan Khan in Dhaka, LPP’s Procurement Director Joanna Sikorska said the company aims to increase purchases of outerwear, heavy knits, men’s underwear, and joggers.
Sikorska reaffirmed Bangladesh as LPP’s largest and most critical sourcing hub, emphasizing commitments to supply chain stability, long-term partnerships, and sustainable production. BGMEA welcomed the move, noting it will benefit both suppliers and the broader industry. Discussions also highlighted expanding opportunities for small and medium factories through the RMG Sustainability Council.
Both sides stressed strengthening strategic ties to advance Bangladesh’s apparel capabilities and global competitiveness.
