80 Saudi companies are ready to invest in Bangladesh

Salman F. Rahman, advisor to the Prime Minister on private industry and investment, revealed that eighty Saudi firms have shown interest in investing in various sectors of Bangladesh. During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Salman discussed potential investment opportunities in Bangladesh with Saudi ministers and prominent citizens.

He met with officials including Saad Alkroud, Chief of Staff and Secretary General of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, who praised Bangladesh’s economic development and confirmed the interest of Saudi companies in investing. Discussions also involved exploring cooperation on energy issues, including the potential purchase of crude oil from Bangladesh with postponed payment terms. Additionally, Saad Alkroud expressed satisfaction with the investment of Saudi company Red Sea Gateway Terminal in Patenga port.
