“Fashion for Working Women” – Seminar on Research Findings

Bangladesh, as a developing country, has a significant contribution from the garment industry in its economic growth. Women play a crucial role in this sector, not only as workers but also as professionals.
Today, we will discuss the clothing needs of working women—ensuring that their outfits allow them to work comfortably and confidently.
In 2022, a research initiative under the China Scholarship Council explored the fashion preferences of working women. Led by Chinese Professor Liu Xia, the Fashion Lab at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University conducted this study to understand the specific clothing requirements of professional women. As part of this research, 300 working women from different sectors were surveyed to analyze their daily clothing choices. This seminar will present key insights from that research.
