French President Emmanuel Macron is in Dhaka for Strengthening Bilateral Ties

French President Emmanuel Macron, who is visiting Dhaka, has visited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s office. Where a bilateral meeting is scheduled to take place between them.

According to office sources, Macron entered the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) at 10:21 am on Monday (September 11). At this time, Sheikh Hasina welcomed the guests in her office. French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Dhaka on Sunday evening.

This is the second visit of a French president to Bangladesh after former French President Francois Mitterrand’s visit to Bangladesh on February 20-24, 1990.

According to the itinerary, President Macron is scheduled to have a bilateral meeting and a private meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Prime Minister’s Office this morning. A few bilateral agreements are likely to be signed between the two countries in the presence of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the President of France. Later they will hold a joint press briefing.
