Bangladesh to showcase textile strength at Texworld New York 2026

Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry is set to gain strong international exposure as 15 local companies prepare to participate in Texworld New York 2026, scheduled to take place from January 20 to 22 at the Javits Convention Center in New York, United States.

According to a press release, the Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) is playing a strategic role in supporting the country’s participation, aiming to promote Bangladesh as a reliable global sourcing destination for apparel and textile fabrics. With EPB’s backing, 14 Bangladeshi companies will exhibit at the event, while Paramount Textiles will join independently.

The participating firms include M&A Composite Ltd, Golden Tex, Blue Apparel, Hera Sweaters, PM Sourcing, Excom Fashion, AB Apparels, and Design Sourcing International Corp, among others. The exhibitors will present a diverse range of products, highlighting Bangladesh’s capabilities in ready-made garments, knitwear, woven fabrics and value-added textile solutions.

Organized by Messe Frankfurt, Texworld USA is one of the most influential textile sourcing events on the US East Coast, bringing together international fabric suppliers, mills, manufacturers and global brands. The exhibition features a broad spectrum of materials, from casual cotton and performance textiles to advanced sustainable fabrics, and serves as a key platform for exploring emerging trends, innovation and partnerships.

For Bangladesh’s export-oriented textile and apparel sector, Texworld New York offers an important opportunity to strengthen buyer connections, tap into sustainable sourcing demand and diversify markets. In fiscal year 2024–25, Bangladesh’s total exports reached $48.28 billion, with the ready-made garment sector contributing $39.35 billion—around 81 percent of the country’s export earnings—underscoring the industry’s critical role in the national economy.
