KARL MAYER launches an extra-wide HKS-3-M EL for maximum productivity, particularly in the manufacture of all types of sporting items
With a new, highly productive model of its HKS 3-M EL, KARL MAYER offers its customers the perfect solution to meet the demands of their markets. The new machine combines a working width of 330″, which can be expanded by an additional 10″, with a production speed of up to 2,800 min⁻¹ despite its XXL format, thereby setting new performance standards, particularly in the manufacture of modern sporting goods.
“With the HKS 3-M EL in 340″, we offer the most productive machine in this configuration on the market,” explains Michael Ahrendt, Global Head of Performance Fabrics at KARL MAYER.
The extra-wide 3-bar tricot machine scores additional points for its energy-efficient technologies, intelligent automation solutions, and low maintenance requirements – but above all for its flexibility.
Flexibility for a wide range of textile applications
The HKS 3-M EL produces items with a wide variety of designs and also high stitch densities, which are in high demand in the fashion & apparel, home textiles, and technical textiles sectors – and particularly in the sports, active, and athleisure wear segments. It is ideally suited for the efficient production of soft, warm outdoor textiles, especially fluffy, napped, or brushed fleece fabrics, such as those used in softshell applications. At the same time, this versatile tricot machine opens up new possibilities for sustainable yarns.
With flexible patterning options and modern technologies, it gives customers greater freedom to develop new products and enables them to bring their ideas to market faster and respond more quickly to market trends.
Available in two gauges and with four winding systems
The machine is available in gauges E 28 and E 32 and with four different batching devices. The EL pattern drive for guide bar control ensures easy pattern changes and maximum precision. The Multi-Speed feature provides even greater flexibility.
