Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has recently called for increasing capacity of land ports on India-Bangladesh border.
As per reports, the Commerce Minister reportedly called for the same during his meeting with the newly appointed Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Pranay K Verma.
Underlining that India is a close friend and major trading partner of Bangladesh and that there is a huge demand for Bangladeshi products in the Indian market even if Bangladesh was now able to export international quality products at relatively low prices, Tipu Munshi said it was necessary to increase the capacity of the land ports on the India-Bangladesh border.
According to the media, Commerce Minister reportedly met Pranay K Verma at the Commerce Ministry in capital Dhaka on Tuesday (December 20).
