SIM Fabrics Ltd, a subsidiary of Sim Group, is set to invest approximately $17 million to establish a denim manufacturing unit in the Jamalpur Economic Zone. On 28th August, the company signed an agreement with Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) for 5 acres of land in the zone.
The new factory is expected to create 250 jobs and will focus on denim production along with necessary administrative facilities. Sim Fabrics aims to transition from fabric manufacturing to exporting a full range of fashion products. Beza’s executive chairman encouraged the company to start operations promptly.
