Dr. Rubana Huq, the ex-President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) – the apex trade body of the apparel manufacturers of the country – has been elected as the chairperson of the newly-formed Bangladesh-Turkey Business Forum (BTBF).
According to the media reports, 11 Bangladeshi and 6 Turkish companies came together to form the BTBF in Dhaka recently to strengthen bilateral ties, expedite connections and optimize potential.
Mrs. Huq, also managing director of Mohammadi Group, has been elected chairperson of the BTBF,
Among other notable members, Salahuddin Kasem Khan, chairman of the EC of the board of AK Khan & Co Ltd has been elected the Co-chairperson, while founder and MD of Kazi Farms Group Kazi Zahedul Hasan have been made BTBF Deputy chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of United Aygaz LPG Ltd Ercument Polat will act as BTBF Secretary General, media reported.
