Universal Fiber Systems (UFS) has appointed Jonathan Craig as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from May, 2025. Craig, with over 15 years of leadership experience in the polymers industry, joins from Ascend Performance Materials, where he served as VP of Polymers and Fibers.
He succeeds Marc Ammen, who is retiring as CEO after 15 years but will continue as Executive Chair of the Board. Under Ammen’s leadership, UFS achieved global growth and completed key acquisitions, including Sapona Yarns and Fiber Innovation Technologies.
Craig brings expertise in growth strategy, innovation, and sustainability. His appointment comes as UFS continues to expand globally, now serving 27 end markets. Craig expressed enthusiasm for leading UFS into its next phase of innovation and customer-focused growth, acknowledging the personal significance of this move for his family.
