PureCycle technologies and Emerald carpets have partnered

As part of the agreement, Emerald Carpets will purchase approximately 5 million pounds annually of PureCycle’s PureFive™ Choice recycled polypropylene (rPP) resin to exceed California’s current recycled content mandates.
This collaboration will enable Emerald Carpets to produce high-performance carpets incorporating recycled materials and launch a closed-loop carpet-to-carpet recycling model. PureCycle will recycle used carpets back into fiber-grade rPP pellets, which Emerald can use to manufacture new carpets—supporting California’s 2028 closed-loop recycling requirements.
The two companies will scale this initiative through joint development and testing at their facilities in Georgia and Ohio throughout 2025–2026. Successful trials have already proven that PureFive Choice™, which includes post-consumer recycled content, meets the durability standards for trade shows.
Emerald Carpets’ President Tom Boykin and PureCycle CEO Dustin Olson both emphasized their shared commitment to sustainability and resource efficiency. The partnership aims to reduce dependency on virgin materials and provide the trade show industry with durable, eco-friendly flooring alternatives.
