Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association has joined hands with Digital Bridge Partners (DBP) to launch the Digital Factory Passport (DFP) — an AI-enabled ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) compliance platform aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and global competitiveness in Bangladesh’s Ready-Made Garment (RMG) industry.

Digital Factory Passport will act as a unified digital system for managing and reporting factory-level data, minimizing audit fatigue, and improving the monitoring of sustainability performance. Through standardized, AI-driven analytics, the DFP will help RMG factories meet international buyers’ compliance requirements more efficiently while reinforcing Bangladesh’s reputation as a responsible and future-ready sourcing destination.

BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan underscored that digital innovation is now central to the industry’s sustainability transformation. “The DFP is a milestone in our ongoing efforts to modernize compliance practices and strengthen buyer confidence in Bangladesh’s garment sector,” he said.

BGMEA Senior Vice President Inamul Haq Khan, Vice President Vidiya Amrit Khan, and other board members echoed the sentiment, highlighting the project’s potential to position Bangladesh as a global leader in transparent and ethical manufacturing.

Representatives from Digital Bridge Partners reiterated their commitment to supporting the RMG industry through cutting-edge digital solutions that enhance efficiency, traceability, and trust across the supply chain. Once implemented, the DFP is expected to become a cornerstone of Bangladesh’s digital ESG ecosystem, enabling seamless reporting for factories and offering real-time insights to global brands and regulators.
