OpenAI launched GPT-40
OpenAI has launched GPT-4o, an updated version of its GPT-4 model, integrating text, speech, and video processing capabilities. This new model promises enhanced user interaction across various platforms and will be introduced iteratively across OpenAI’s products. ChatGPT users will receive access to GPT-4o at no extra cost, with paid users enjoying increased capacity limits. Initially focusing on text and image capabilities, GPT-4o is described as “natively multimodal” by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
It offers improved visual processing, enhanced multilingual support, and increased efficiency for developers at a lower cost than the previous model. Access to GPT-4o’s full capabilities, particularly in audio processing, will initially be limited to trusted partners to mitigate risks of misuse.
