Protesters of TNZ Group gets their overdue salaries
A total of 3,620 workers and 120 staff members from five factories under TNZ Group in Gazipur have received their one-month overdue salaries. Gazipur Industrial Police Assistant Superintendent Mosharraf Hossain confirmed that the payments were transferred to workers’ accounts last evening, three days ahead of the scheduled payment date.
TNZ Group Chairman Hedayetul Haque announced that the factories would reopen tomorrow. He expressed optimism that workers would return to work and contribute to recovering losses through active participation in production. The Department of Inspection of Factories and Establishments noted that TNZ Group operates five factories in Gazipur’s Mogarkhal area.
Earlier, on November 9, approximately 2,000 workers from the factories staged protests, blocking the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway to demand their overdue payments.
