BIDA signed MoU with four institutes
Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) has signed MoUs with four institutions—Sylhet City Corporation, Rangpur City Corporation, Karnaphuli Gas Distribution Company Limited, and Southeast Bank PLC—to add seven new services to its online one-stop service (OSS) platform. This brings the total number of services on the platform to 133, provided by 48 institutions, including 23 from BIDA itself.
Since its launch in 2019, the OSS platform has processed over 170,000 applications with a 99% resolution rate, though only 5,000 have involved services from other agencies, highlighting the need for greater integration and adoption. The new additions aim to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for investors.
At the signing event, BIDA Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun stressed the agency’s commitment to improving service delivery for investors, while Executive Member Dr. Khandoker Azizul Islam highlighted the milestone’s significance and the importance of raising awareness about the platform. The initiative is expected to save time and resources while streamlining investor services.
