Global textile manufacturers eye on stuck recovery: ITMF
BTJ Desk Report
International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) has reported a cautious optimism for a rebound in global demand for textile materials, following a prolonged slowdown in the industry. Despite current challenges, including weak demand, low production capacity utilization (down to 68% as of July), and concerns about logistics, energy, and raw material costs, the sector is hopeful for improvement in the latter half of the fiscal year.
While manufacturers are no longer facing significant issues with order cancellations or inventory levels, retailers and brands continue to struggle with high stock levels, which they are expected to address in the coming months.
