VIATT 2026 to debut German pavilion, strengthen Europe–Asia textile links

Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies (VIATT) 2026 will introduce a dedicated German Pavilion for the first time, reinforcing trade ties between Europe and Asia as Vietnam’s textile and garment exports are projected to reach $46 billion in 2025, up 5.6% year-on-year.

Scheduled for 26–28 February 2026, Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies will spotlight digital transformation, sustainability and advanced technologies across the textile value chain. The third edition of the fair will feature seven country and regional pavilions from China, Germany, Europe, India, Japan, Taiwan and Türkiye, covering apparel fabrics and fashion, home and contract textiles, and technical textiles and technologies.

German Pavilion Takes Centre Stage
The inaugural German Pavilion, organized by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA), will anchor the European Zone. It will showcase German engineering excellence in textile machinery, technical textiles, home textiles and apparel components.

Participating companies include leading names such as Lindauer DORNIER, ZSK Stickmaschinen, Georg Sahm and Paradies, alongside other specialists in lingerie fabrics, yarns, sun protection systems and high-performance textiles. Certification and testing bodies will also be present, reinforcing quality and compliance standards.

Strong Asian Participation
VIATT 2026 will continue to draw major Asian exhibitors, positioning itself as a sourcing hub for ASEAN supply chain partnerships. The India Pavilion, organized by The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), will feature 21 companies highlighting export-ready cotton textiles, including the Kasturi Cotton initiative focused on traceability and quality benchmarking.

High-Level Summits and Industry Dialogues
Beyond the exhibition floor, VIATT will host key industry forums, including the TGIS 2026 Vietnam Textile & Garment Industry Development Strategy Summit and the Textile Industry Exchange roundtable. Discussions will address AI adoption, sustainability compliance, global trade uncertainties, US tariffs and EU ecodesign regulations.

With expanded European participation and strong Asian representation, VIATT 2026 aims to accelerate innovation, foster cross-border partnerships and strengthen supply chain resilience between Europe and Asia’s textile markets.
