LENZING nominated their new supervisory board

Ahead of Lenzing AG’s Annual General Meeting on April 17, 2025, the Nomination Committee has announced changes to the Supervisory Board. Current Chairman Cord Prinzhorn will step down at the end of his mandate to focus on his ongoing and new commitments within B&C Group.

Patrick Lackenbucher, Managing Director of B&C Group, has been nominated as a new member of the Supervisory Board and is set to assume the role of Chairman on an interim basis. With 15 years of experience supporting Lenzing in key strategic and financial initiatives, he brings deep expertise to the position.

Reflecting on his tenure, Cord Prinzhorn stated: “After four years on Lenzing’s Supervisory Board, my mandate is concluding, and I will now dedicate myself to other projects. During my time as Chairman, we successfully completed major strategic investments in Brazil, Thailand, and China, reduced costs and financial debt, and strengthened Lenzing’s market position. I extend my gratitude to the Supervisory Board, the Managing Board, and especially the employees, whose dedication has been instrumental in these achievements.”

Incoming Chairman Patrick Lackenbucher expressed confidence in Lenzing’s future: “Both core shareholders, B&C and Suzano, remain committed to enhancing Lenzing’s global leadership in sustainable cellulosic fibers. The company is actively implementing measures to navigate the competitive market, delivering positive results. Long-term profitability is essential for continued investment in new products and markets. I look forward to collaborating with the Managing and Supervisory Boards to drive Lenzing’s success forward.”
