Bangladesh-Japan strengthen SME cooperation at Tokyo roundtable

At the ‘Investors B2B Japan’ event held in Tokyo on April 25th, Bangladeshi and Japanese business leaders emphasized enhancing ties between small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Professor Dr. Naohiro Kurose, President of ICOSA, expressed strong optimism for future collaboration, citing Japan’s longstanding commitment to SME growth. Professor Wada Masatake advocated for regular exchanges between entrepreneurs to drive technology transfer and regional development.
From Bangladesh, Mikhail Idris Islam, Director of HAISON, highlighted opportunities for SME partnerships and the historically strong Bangladesh-Japan relationship. Hideki Murakami from UNIDO ITPO Tokyo hoped the dialogue would lead to long-term collaboration.
The session concluded with a shared commitment to promoting entrepreneur exchanges, joint ventures, and sustainable business partnerships between the two countries.
