Mayer & Cie to unveil breakthroughs at ITMA Asia 2025

German circular knitting machine manufacturer Mayer & Cie. is set to showcase its latest innovations at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, scheduled from October 28–31 in Singapore. The company, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, will present a mix of high-performance machines and digital solutions aimed at boosting efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness in the textile sector.

At Hall 5, Stand D301, Mayer & Cie. will highlight the OVJA 2.4 EC II, a new circular knitting machine designed for jacquard fabrics. Equipped with an advanced electronic single needle selection system, the model features a lower cylinder height, requires fewer knitting elements, and consumes less energy. It is targeted at customers in China and Southeast Asia, particularly for producing sportswear, leisurewear, and home textiles.

The company will also display models from its Performance Line, known for being the most efficient in their categories. Among them, the D4 4.4 HPI delivers up to 600 kg of interlock fabric daily, while the OV 3.2 QCe produces up to 650 kg of fine rib fabrics. In the single jersey sector, the Relanit 4.0 achieves a record 1,700 kg per day, complemented by the Relanit 3.2 HS II, optimized for elastomeric plating.

Digital innovations will also take center stage. The Control 5.0 system enables Internet-ready machine operations and connects seamlessly with the company’s knitlink platform. Meanwhile, the knithawk defect detection tool uses infrared scanning to identify fabric errors in real time, minimizing waste of raw materials and energy.

Despite global market challenges, Managing Director Benjamin Mayer said ITMA Asia remains a key platform to strengthen customer relationships and expand in dynamic textile regions. He emphasized that Mayer & Cie.’s 120-year journey has been defined by innovation, reliability, and customer focus—values the company continues to uphold.
