National SME product fair kicks off today in Dhaka

The 12th National SME Product Fair begins today at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre, showcasing the strength of Bangladesh’s small and medium enterprises and offering a major platform for market access, financing, and innovation.
Organised by the SME Foundation, the eight-day fair features over 350 exhibitors, 60% of whom are women-led businesses, representing sectors such as apparel, handicrafts, agro-processing, ICT, leather, engineering, and herbal products.
The fair aims to boost visibility for locally made SME products, connect entrepreneurs with consumers and policymakers, and support business growth through banker-entrepreneur matchmaking, with nearly 30 banks offering loan guidance and even on-site applications.
Six seminars from December 8–10 will cover export diversification, innovation, halal certification, IP rights, blended finance, and skills development. The event will also honour top entrepreneurs through the National SME Entrepreneur Awards 2025.
Since 2012, SME Foundation fairs have supported over 5,000 entrepreneurs and generated Tk 150 crore in combined sales and orders. The fair is open daily until December 14, from 10 am to 9 pm, with free entry.
