A South Korean company is set to invest $24 million in Bangladesh’s Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ) in Mirsharai, Chattogram, further strengthening foreign direct investment in the country’s industrial sector.

PH Creative (BD) Limited will establish a manufacturing facility to produce a diverse range of products, including steel, aluminum and iron frames, fiberglass poles, tents, sleeping bags, and camping furniture. The company will also manufacture various accessories such as PVC covers, caps, chair patches, hangers, hammers, trolley bags, handbags, and garment accessories like toggles and beads.

The project is expected to generate employment for approximately 2,000 Bangladeshi nationals, contributing to job creation and economic growth.

The investment agreement was formally signed at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka between Md Tanvir Hossain, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, and Jin Ho Bae, Chairman of PH Creative (BD) Limited.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mohammad Moazzem Hossain, Executive Chairman of BEPZA, welcomed the investment and expressed appreciation for the company’s decision to choose Bangladesh as its manufacturing base. He also encouraged South Korean investors to explore further opportunities in high-tech sectors such as semiconductors and electronics.

The latest investment highlights Bangladesh’s growing appeal as a competitive destination for global manufacturers, particularly within specialized economic zones offering infrastructure and policy support.
