Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) has signed a MoU with Swiss development group Swisscontact to boost sustainability and resilience in the garments accessories and packaging industry.
The collaboration, linked to PROGRESS and InSPIRE projects, will promote renewable energy, climate action plans, rainwater harvesting, carbon reduction, and greater female workforce participation. BGAPMEA President Md. Al Shahriar emphasized modernization, compliance, and capacity building to keep the sector competitive across multiple export industries.
