Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud emphasized Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s commitment to enhancing trade, investment, aviation, climate, defense, security, and migration cooperation with the UK during her current term. He expressed gratitude to UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for his dedication to strengthening the economic and security partnership between Bangladesh and the UK.
The event, attended by notable figures including Speaker of the UK’s Parliament Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP and Leader of the House of Commons Rt. Hon Penny Mordaunt MP, featured an exhibition on Bangabandhu, a cultural show, and displays of traditional Bangladeshi sarees. It attracted a distinguished audience including UK parliament members, government officials, British politicians, high commissioners, ambassadors, and representatives from international organizations, think tanks, media, academia, and the Bangladeshi community in the UK.
