Recover™ Expands Global Footprint with New Recycling Facility in Vietnam
Recover™, a leading producer of recycled cotton fiber, has announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Vietnam, set to become operational by early 2025. This marks a significant step in the company’s global expansion strategy, aimed at promoting large-scale sustainability in Vietnam’s textile sector, the third-largest textile exporter globally.
Located in Dong Nai province, the factory spans 14,000 square meters and will initially operate with two advanced recycling lines, capable of producing 10,000 metric tons annually. It also features a dedicated laboratory to ensure consistent quality and innovation in product development. A key offering from the facility will be RMix, a recycling solution for cotton-polyester blends that eliminates the need to separate fibers, addressing a major industry challenge while enhancing energy efficiency.
Recover strategically positioned the facility near textile waste sorting and manufacturing centers to reduce shipping costs and carbon footprints, while ensuring efficient material supply to global markets. CEO Anders Sjöblom emphasized the move as pivotal for advancing circularity in Vietnam’s textile industry and supporting growing demand for recycled materials.
Following its expansion into Bangladesh in 2022, Recover’s Vietnam facility underscores its commitment to sustainability and meeting the rising global demand for eco-friendly textiles.
