Ding Yu (BD) Enterprise Ltd, a Chinese firm, will invest $28.92 million to establish a garment manufacturing facility in the BEPZA Economic Zone in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The project will create 3,135 jobs and produce 50 million garments annually, including underwear, T-shirts, yoga pants, and swim pants.
The agreement was signed by BEPZA’s Md Ashraful Kabir and Ding Yu’s Zhuofan Cai, with BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman welcoming the firm to the zone.
