Chief Advisor inaugurated Dhaka International Trade Fair

Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus inaugurated the 29th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) on Wednesday at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Purbachal.

In his address, Prof. Yunus stressed the importance of boosting exports through innovation, urging businesses to lead efforts in developing new products. He also emphasized the growing significance of the service sector alongside goods, according to local media reports.

This year’s fair, organized by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), features 362 stalls and pavilions, including participation from 11 companies across seven countries. Special thematic pavilions, such as one dedicated to the “July-August Uprising,” and a Youth Pavilion will be among the highlights. Additionally, e-ticketing arrangements and online allocation of stall and pavilion spaces are being introduced for the first time.

To enhance visitor convenience, a dedicated BRTA bus service will be available, while UBER will provide special discounts for attendees.
