CHT Germany GmbH, part of the foundation-owned CHT Group, is a finalist for the “German Sustainability Award Companies 2027” in the Large Companies size class. The CHT Group is proud that the jury has selected the company for this prestigious award. The finalist recognition honors the CHT Group’s extensive efforts to advance sustainable transformation across product development and industrial applications.
The jury was particularly impressed by the integration of chemical product development with industrial customer processes. It highlights the PIGMENTURA textile dyeing process using a pad-dry process as an approach to reducing water consumption. The jury also recognizes the CHT Group’s work on product carbon footprints and its systematic assessment of critical substances.
Within the CHT Group, a calculation tool supports the assessment of product carbon footprints as early as the product development stage. In addition, a science-based internal classification system helps identify critical substances and replace them wherever technically and economically feasible.
In this way, the CHT Group incorporates key sustainability considerations from the development stage onward, connecting process design, transparency, and substance selection with the requirements of industrial applications. Being a finalist for the German Sustainability Award Companies affirms the CHT Group’s approach and recognizes the efforts made to date toward a more sustainable chemical industry.
The award ceremony will take place on December 3, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Maritim Hotel Düsseldorf.
