BGMEA requested NBR to acknowledge customs and bond problems
Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has requested the National Board of Revenue (NBR) to address challenges related to customs and bonds that are impacting the garment industry. During a meeting with NBR Chairman Md Abdur Rahman Khan, BGMEA’s Acting President Khandoker Rafiqul Islam, along with other leaders, emphasized the need to simplify and expedite customs processes, particularly for the clearance of imported raw materials and equipment.
These issues, they argued, increase production costs and delay business operations. The NBR Chairman assured the BGMEA of full support and expressed a commitment to creating a business-friendly environment to boost trade, investment, and employment.
