The first-ever Global Sourcing Expo 2025 will take place from 1–3 December at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Purbachal, showcasing Bangladesh’s expanding capabilities as a diversified global sourcing hub beyond RMG.
Organised by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and the Ministry of Commerce, the event will feature over 100 export-oriented companies across eight sectors, including garments, textiles, leather, jute, agro-products, plastics, home décor, pharmaceuticals, and ICT/ITES. More than 150 stalls, 10 thematic seminars, B2B sessions, networking events, and a fashion show are planned.
Buyer delegations from over 11 countries—including China, Japan, Thailand, the UAE, and the US—are expected to attend, signalling rising international interest in Bangladesh as brands diversify supply chains.
Officials noted that the expo aims to attract global buyers and investors, strengthen long-term sourcing partnerships, and highlight Bangladesh’s growing industrial competitiveness. Analysts believe the event will support export diversification and enhance global confidence in Bangladesh’s evolving manufacturing ecosystem.
